Olly Alexander, Mikey Goldsworthy ed Emre Türkmen, meglio noti come Years & Years, da venerdì torneranno a far suonare la loro fantastica musica nelle radio italiane con il nuovo singolo intitolato If you’re over me, secondo estratto dall’album di prossima uscita Palo santo.
La band synthpop britannica è stata tra le rivelazioni del 2015 musicale, grazie all’album Communion (numero uno nel Regno Unito, album di debutto più venduto da una band britannica del 2015 e cinque nomination ai Brit Awards) trainato dalla bellissima traccia “monster hit” King, che ha raggiunto la top 10 in diciassette paesi e quasi due milioni di copie vendute in tutto il mondo. Apprezzata molto anche in Italia, dove ha conquistato due dischi di platino.
Anticipato dal singolo Sanctify, il nuovo album della band Palo santo uscirà il prossimo 6 luglio ed è senza dubbio tra i lavori più attesi dell’anno. All’interno di esso sarà contenuta anche la versione integrale del brano Hypnotised, utilizzato per lo spot pubblicitario della collezione H&M firmata dallo stilista britannico Erdem.
Al centro di If you’re over me c’è la storia di un tentativo di restare amici con un ex partner. Il pezzo porta le firme di Olly Alexander e Steve McCutcheon, mentre la produzione è stata curata da Steve Mac (già produttore di Ed Sheeran, Leona Lewis, Little Mix, Demi Lovato e Shakira) e arriva in Italia sotto etichetta Universal Music.
