Negli scorsi giorni è stata pubblicata sui canali social dei Pearl Jam una piccola anteprima del nuovo singolo che ha fatto letteralmente impazzire i fan, due giorni fa è stato finalmente rilasciato e domani entrerà in rotazione radiofonica.
Can’t deny me – questo il titolo del brano – anticipa la pubblicazione del nuovo album di inediti, che arriva a cinque anni di distanza dall’uscita di Lightning bolt, certificato disco di platino in Italia. Il testo del pezzo è stato scritto da Eddy Vedder su musica di Mike McCready, ed è stato registrato a Seattle lo scorso febbraio. L’intensa copertina del singolo è stata creata da Jeff Ament e Kevin Shuss.
Il disco è prodotto da Brendan O’Brien, già produttore per i Pearl Jam in passato, per gli AC/DC e Bruce Springsteen, e arriverà a ventisette anni dall’inizio del “viaggio”. Una straordinaria carriera folta di successi (ottantacinque milioni di copie vendute) e riconoscimenti (band inserita nella Roll Hall Of Fame) che verrà festeggiata con un tour che farà tappa anche in Italia.
